How to Setup a 1300 or a 1800 Number for New Customers in 5 Easy Steps!


If you are a new customer and want to set up a 1300 or an 1800 Number for your Business, you may be a little overwhelmed by all the options in your account.

We can assure you; it's straightforward! It only takes a couple of minutes, and once you have set it up, you can relax and not think about it again!

In this article, we will assume you are going to put in a call forward to your Mobile or landline. If you are not planning on call forwarding, you can simply ignore that part.

So you just created a new account and have no idea what to do. Here is the minimum amount of things you need to do for your number to work as intended.

  • Setup a SIP Trunk (even if you are not going to use it). This simply allows calls to forward to your mobile or landline.
  • Enable Call Forwarding.
  • Recharge your Account.
  • Purchase a New Number.
  • Configure your New Number.

Step two.

You will need to enable call forwarding on your account by going to My Account > My Account and enable the call forwarding option.

Step Three.

You will now need to recharge your account atleast to cover the cost of the 1300 or 1800 number and to cover your expected calls. Many customers will start with $10, and this will get everything working and let you test how awesome the Crazytel Network is!

To Recharge, you can go to "Recharge" on the left-hand side Menu.

Step Four.

Now you have recharged your account; it's time to buy your new number. To do this, go to

Number Management > Buy a Number > Select 1300 or 1800 Numbers from the drop-down menu

Choose the number that you like and click on "Buy Now."

Step Five (And the Last Step!).

Congratulations on buying your new number! Now, all we need to do is put in the call forward, and you are done.

To do this, You will need to go to…

Number Management > My Numbers > Click on the new number you just purchased.

Scroll down a little until you see the First Destination

Change" Type of Forwarding" to "Call Forward"

Enter the number you would like your calls to forward to in the "Forwarding Destination" Box.

It should look something like this:

Scroll down and Press SAVE, and you are DONE!
